Watch: There's No Strolling For Somerville Dad Who Set World Record Stroller Run

What dad bod? Ruben Sança didn't let putting 80 pounds on slow him down. Literally. The 35-year-old recently set a world record for the fastest mile ever mile pushing a stroller.

Sança ran a mile in 4:32.2 minutes during the High Street Mile in Newburyport, Mass., on Aug. 7, all while pushing his son Greyson, 5, in a pram. Click here to watch them break the record.

“[Greyson] is in the 99th percentile for his height [for his age], and he weighs 55 pounds. The stroller that I use is 25 pounds,” Sança told Runner’s World. “When you add that, you have 80 pounds that I’m pushing.”

This was a milestone for Sança but just another day for Greyson. Sança takes his son on runs several times a week. Sança told Runner's World that he used to make a mid-run smoothie or ice-cream stop which helped sweeten the trips for the boy. Now, Greyson now loves the adventure.

“He went from falling asleep to asking me to go faster,” Sança said.

Sança is no typical dad. He's an Olympic track and field athlete from Cape Verde. His wife, Lauren, is a runner and athlete as well, Runner's World said.

So, we should expect to see Greyson setting records of his own in a few years.
